How to Play Liar’s Dice – Learn the Basics, Bluff Your Way to Victory!

Liar’s Dice is a fast-paced game of luck, strategy, and deception. Here’s how it works:

1. What You Need: Each player gets a cup and 5 six-sided dice. Keep your dice hidden under your cup!

2. The Goal: Be the last player with dice. You lose dice when you’re caught bluffing or guessing wrong.

3. How It Starts: Everyone shakes their cup, slams it down, and peeks at their dice secretly.

4. Bidding: Players take turns guessing how many of a certain number (like “five 4s”) are on the table across all players’ dice. Ones are wild and count as any number!

   • The catch: Each bid must raise the stakes! The next player has to claim a higher number of dice than the previous bid (e.g., “three 5s” becomes “four 5s”) or switch to a higher die face with at least the same number (e.g., “three 5s” becomes “three 6s”).

   • Example: Player 1 says “three 5s.” Player 2 can say “four 5s,” “three 6s,” or higher—or call “Liar!”

5. Calling “Liar!”: If you think the last bid is a bluff, call it out! Everyone reveals their dice.

   • If the bid was too high (fewer dice match than claimed), the bidder loses one die.

   • If the bid was good (enough or more dice match), the caller loses one die.

6. Calling “Exact!”: If you think the last bid is exact, call it out! Everyone reveals their dice.

   • If the bid was exact, the caller gains back one die (although the player cannot exceed 6 die) and everyone cheers!

7. Keep Going: Roll your remaining dice and continue. Last player with dice wins the pot!

Tips for Winning: Bluff cleverly, read the room, and know when to push the bid. Can you outlast the liars?
